Delilah is a Brooklyn-born artist whose work lives at the intersection of sharp-edged modernism and a soulful Southern lineage. A ferociously curious & empathetic storyteller, she navigates the stage and the page with equal intensity, drawing deep inspiration from the psychological realism of Henrik Ibsen, the lyrical grit of Tennessee Williams, and the poetic intimacy of Paula Vogel. As a poet, Delilah is the author of the collection Spitfire, which captures the heat and honesty of her creative voice.
At the center of her creative spirit is an enduring belief that storytelling is essential to human survival. To her, art & performance is the connective tissue between people – a bridge across time, culture, and difference. Story provides an opportunity to hold a mirror to society, illuminating the paradox, fragility, and resilience that define what it means to be human.
Whether she is inhabiting a character or crafting a stanza, Delilah continues to create work that seeks not only to move audiences, but to awaken them.
Recently, Delilah starred on stage in Sartre & Simone at the Theatre for a New City. She is currently collaborating with Basement Theatrics.
